Dr. G’s Approach
WHOLE BODY HEALING In my approach, I help bring greater awareness to the harmony of one's body, mind, and spirit. A healing and inviting space is created for the intersectional parts of our being to find cohesion and full expression. I incorporate mindfulness and meditation through my practice and study of Buddhism and psychology. I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, which means that I help you bring greater awareness of your body to help support your healing. In addition, I am versed in neurobiology and informed of the impact of nutritional health on growth.
THE POWER OF THE PRESENT MOMENT
Through many years of meditation practice, I have learned that mindfulness techniques, becoming familiar with the present moment, creates the ground for change. I have also found that my open, compassionate, and at times humorous presence helps to give the space for healing to occur.
TRUSTING THE INNATE WISDOM OF EACH HUMAN
Each one of you has the capacity to heal yourself, but sometimes the tools needed to do so become muddled under the stress and clouds of our lives. I work collaboratively with my clients because I believe that they know what they need.
I make every effort to make sure after each session, someone is leaving with a new, practical tool to try out.
